The above is an iron slave collar. It is Roman. The inscription says “I have run away; hold me. When you shall have returned me to my master, Zoninus, you will receive a gold coin”
Traditional Chinese architecture has curved rooftops because Buddhists believe that the fluid shape helps ward off evil spirits. They believe that ghosts/spirits travel in straight lines.
